3、anddetailedsolutions.Itdoesnotprovidemuchhistoricalperspectiveonthedevelopmentofquantummechanics.Subjectssuchasthephotoelectriceffect,black-bodyradiation,thedualnatureofelectronsandphotons,andtheDavissonandGermerexperimentsarenotevendiscussed.Toprovideatextthatstudent
4、scanusetogainintroductorylevelknowledgeofquantummechanicsasappliedtochemistryproblems,suchanon-historicalapproachhadtobefollowed.Thistextimmediatelyexposesthereadertothemachineryofquantummechanics.Sections1and2(i.e.,Chapters1-7),togetherwithAppendicesA,B,CandE,couldco
