2、alkaboutthehowtheAmericangovernmentworksundertheideaofseparationofpowerwhichisassociatedwiththechecksandbalancessystem.AccordingtotheU.S.Constitutiondeclaredthatthegovernmentwasdividedintothreedifferentbranchesincludingalegislative,anexecutiveandajudiciary,inaccordancewiththeideaof

3、separationofpower.ThisideawascreatedbecausethatAmericansdidnotwantthesepowerstobecontrolledbyjustonemanoronegroup.Theywereafraidthatifasmallgroupreceivedtoomuchpower,theUnitedStateswouldwindupundertheruleofanotherdictatorortyrant.Separationofpowersisapoliticaldoctrineoriginatingint

4、hewritingsofMontesquieuin"TheSpiritoftheLaws"whereheurgedforaconstitutionalgovernmentwiththreeseparatebranchesofgovernment.Eachofthethreebrancheswouldhavedefinedpowerstocheckthepowersoftheotherbranches.Thisideawascalledseparationofpowers.Thisphilosophyheavilyinfluencedthewritingoft

5、heUnitedStatesConstitution.Thelegislative,executive,andjudicialbranchesoftheUnitedStatesgovernmentarekeptdistinctinordertopreventabuseofpower.TheUnitedState’sformofseparationofpowersisassociatedwithasystemofchecksandbalances.HowdoestheUnitedStatesdowhenputtingtheideaofseparationofp
