4、realsogiftedorators.ButtoooftenMostdefinitionsofactivelearningfocusontwokeystudentssitpassively,disconnectedfromthelecture,astheycomponents:“doing”and“reflecting.”Themostcommonlyactivelyengagein“facebooking,”textmessaging,ordoingciteddefinitionofactivelearningcomesfromBonw
5、ellandhomeworkforotherclasses.Lecturingpersists,nonetheless,Eison(1991):“Involvingstudentsindoingthingsandthinkingbecauseitprovidesaconvenientandefficientwaytodeliveraboutwhattheyaredoing.”Theauthorsemphasizethatcontenttolargenumbersofstudents,particularlyinlargestudentsmu
6、stengageinactivitiesthatinvolvereading,lecturehalls.writing,discussing,orproblemsolving.Lecturinghasadvantages.It(1)enablestheinstructortoWiththeirdefinitionofactivelearning,Bonwellandsupplementthetextbookbyprovidingcutting-edgematerial;Eison(1991)anticipatedsomeofthenewre
