7、、高区、经区及乳山、文登、荣城三市,面积为5436平方公里。威海市是首座国家级卫生城市,首批国家环保模范城市和中国优秀旅游城市,国家园林城市、国家文明城市,多次被联合国确定为“改善人居环境全球最佳范例”城市。2003年威海被联合国人居署评为“最适合人类居住的地方”,捧回了国际人居奖。随着成功地举办了04年的国际人居节会议,将城市的知名度提高到了前所未有的高度。其以有丰富的自然景观与人文景观,成为闻名中外的旅游、避暑和疗养圣地,经过几年来的开发建设,已形成了一批独具风格的名胜游览区。2004年威海常驻人口约60.92万人,流动人

8、口为11万人。全市国内生产总值836.02亿元,比上年增长7.9%。其中,第一产业增加值92.49亿元,增长4.6%;第二产业增加值492.03亿元,增长23.7%;第三产业增加值是251.5亿元,增长13.2%。人均国内生产总值33762元,增长17.8%;全年社会固定资产
