3、thattheprinciplesoffreeconsentandofgoodfaithandthepactasuntservandaruleareuniversallyrecognized,Affirmingthatdisputesconcerningtreaties,likeotherinternationaldisputes,shouldbesettledbypeacefulmeansandinconformitywiththeprinciplesofjusticeandinternationallaw,Recall
4、ingthedeterminationofthepeoplesoftheUnitedNationstoestablishconditionsunderwhichjusticeandrespectfortheobligationsarisingfromtreatiescanbemaintained,HavinginmindtheprinciplesofinternationallawembodiedintheCharteroftheUnitedNations,suchastheprinciplesoftheequalrigh
5、tsandself-determinationofpeoples,ofthesovereignequalityandindependenceofallStates,ofnon-interferenceinthedomesticaffairsofStates,oftheprohibitionofthethreatoruseofforceandofuniversalrespectfor,andobservanceof,humanrightsandfundamentalfreedomsforall,Believingthatth
