4、国中学生在英语课堂上处于被动地位的原因,并提出一些改变该状况的可行性建议。 1.Introduction ChinahasseenanincreasingdemandforEnglishinpeople’scareersandpromotionssince1978andparticularlyafterChina’sentranceintoWTO.Naturally,thereisanimpressivecommitmenttoEFLteachingandlearningfrombothteac
5、hersandlearners.ThereisnodoubtthatmuchprogressinEnglishteachingandlearninghasbeenmadeinChinainthelasttwodecades.Seeingthat,neverinthenation’shistoryhadsomuchmoney,time,effort,equipmentandsoonbeeninvestedinEnglishlanguageteachingandlearningandneverhasso
6、muchinternationalcooperationbeeninvolvedinprojectstotrainbothChineseEFLprofessionalsandlearners(Dzau,1990,Cortazz&jin,1996).[1]However,theoutcomeoftheendeavorsseemstobefarfromitspointofsatisfaction,especiallyinthefieldofEnglishteachingandlearningin
