2、g,Sweden(Received19November1996;revised16June1997AbstractThispaperpresentsselectedresultsfromanextensiveon-sitemeasurementcampaignwheretheashbehaviorsina12MWCFBboilerwasstudiedduringfiringofcoal,peatandwood.Samplesweretakenfromallin-going(bedmaterial,fuel)and
3、out-goingsolidmaterialstreams(secondarycycloneandbagfilter)aswellasfromthebedandthereturnleg.Depositsampleswerefurthercollectedfromthecycloneinletandfromtwodifferentlocationsintheconvectivepath.Inaddition,theboileroperationwasmonitored,includingcollectionofop
4、erationaldata,fluegastemperatureprofilesandemissions.Thepaperdiscussesthedifferencesintheashchemistrythatweredetectedbetweenthethreedifferentcombustioncasesanddrawsconclusionsontheimpactofthechemistryonthebedagglomerationandfoulingtendencyforeachfuel.(Keyword

6、inotherlocations.Theheatexchangersurfaces,thecycloneandthereturnlegaretypicallysensitiveareaswheredepositsmaycauseextensiveoperationalproblems.Inadditiontophysicalparameterssuchasfluidizationcharacteristicsandmixing,theashchemistryplaysanimportantroleintheash
7、behaviour.Thispaperpresentsresultsfromanextensiveon-sitemeasurementcampaignwheretheashbehaviourina12MWCFBboilerwasstudiedduringthefiringofcoal,peatandwood.Focusisontheimpactofashchemistryonslagging,foulingandbedagglomeration.EXPERIMENTALTheboilerinwhichthemea
