5、hedelivery,oreventhewaybooksarebeingwrittentoday,and(iii)thefeltneedinthesocietyforlife-longlearningskills.ingeneral,highereducationinseveralcountriesoftheworldiswitnessingseriousresourcecrunchduetocurtailmentingrantsfromtheirrespectivegovernmentsmostlyonthemisplacednotionthattheinstitutionsof

6、higherlearningcancompletelyfendthemselves.weexaminesomeoftheissuesinthisarticlewithparticularreferencetohighertechnicaleducationscenario.technologicaldevelopmentsandtheirapplications,especiallyintheitrelatedareas,requirelargemanpowerinput.butwefindthattheacademiaisnotinapositiontoproduceenough
