6、uction.Infall-replantedbulb-to-seedproduction,onionseedsaresowninlatespringandgrowto1–2inchbulbsinearlyfall.Thesebulbsarethenpulled,selected,andreplantedinanewfieldwithinacoupleofweeks,wheretheyoverwinterandproduceseedsthefollowingyear.Likeseed-to-seedprodu
7、ction,thismethodcanonlybedonewherewintertemperaturesarenotcoldenoughtokilltheoverwinteringonions.Theadvantagesoffall-replantedbulb-to-seedproductionarethatitallowssomeselectionofobviousoff-types,andmovingtheonionstoanewfieldmakesweedanddiseasemanagementeasi
