2、ituteofTechnology,Beijing100081Abstract:ApairofderivativesoftetramericN-methylpyrrolepolyamideweresynthesizedinordertodevelopanewmethodforthestudyofinteractionofthepolyamidederivativeswithDNA.Indoleaceticacidandnicotinicacidwereintroducedtothepolyamideinthesynthesizedcompou
3、nd,whichshowedanexpectedredshiftintheUVspectrum.ThesecompoundsmayfunctionasapotentialtoolinthedemctionofthepolyamidebindingtoDNA.Keywords:Synthesis,polyamidederivatives,ultravioletabsorption.Theincorrectexpressionorbiochemicalfunctionofspecificgenes.whoseproteinproductsaree
4、ssentialfortheregulationofcellgrowth,causeofcancer.BydesigningadrugcapableofrecognizingspecificsequencesinDNA,itmaybepossibletospecificallyinhibitaspecificgene'sexpressionandtherebycontrolthegrowthoftumorcells.RecentstudieshaveshownthatpolyamidecomposedofN-methylpyrrole(Py)
5、,N-methylimidazole(Im)bindintheDNAminorgroovewithpredictablesequenceselectivityandhighbindingaffinities....Fluorescentlabel.fluorescentprobesalecommonlyusedtoestablishtheDNAbindingpropertiesofsmallmolecules..Inthepresentstudy,apairofnovelbindingagentswithsomefunctionalgroup
6、sweresynthesized.ThesynthericcompoundsshowedUVabsorptionatlongerwavelengththanthatofDNAattachedtothepolyamide.theredshiftofUVabsorptionmightbecausedbybindingtoDNA.SothechangeofUVabso~tionofconjugatescanbeusedtodetectthebindingofthesmallmoleculeswithDNA.Herewereportedthesynt
