4、lturalism,culturalcongruence,acculturation,culturalpluralismandothers.Alanguagereflectsthecharacteristicsofanation.Itnotonlycarriesthenation’shistoryandculturalbackground,butalsodeliversthenation’sphilosophy,lifestyleandwayofthinking.TheAfricanAmericanshaveexist
5、edintheUnitedStatesforovertwohundredyears.Asoneofthemostimportantmulticulturalcomponentsthere,theyhavetheirownindispensablecontributiontoAmericanlanguageandculture.TheyhavedevelopedAfricanAmericanEnglishasadialectofEnglishandextendedtheinfluenceofAfricanAmerican
6、musicanddance,whichhelpstomaintaintheirancestrallanguageandculture,andinfluenceAmericanlanguageandculture.Astimegoeson,theirappellationshavebeenchangingwhichimpliesthattheyhavebecomemoreawareoftheirracialidentity.Also,thewidespreadoftheirmusicanddanceaddstotheir
