4、Detailsoftheseregulationsareprovidedin29CFR1910.1200andCCR,Title8,Section5194.1.2.TheStandardrequiresthateveryaffectedemployerestablishaprogramtoinformemployeesofthepotentialhazardsassociatedwiththematerialsusedintheirworkplace. Theprogrammustincludefivema
5、incomponentsasfollows:1.2.1.AHazardCommunicationProgram1.2.2.Aninventoryofhazardouschemicalsintheworkplace1.2.3.Onsitecopiesofrelatedmaterialsafetydatasheets(MSDS)1.2.4.Properlabelingforhazardouschemicals;and,1.2.5.Trainingforaffectedemployeesontherequirem
6、entsoftheStandard/Regulation.1.3.ThisHazardCommunicationProgram(Program)appliestoallUniversityofCalifornia–Irvine(UCI)Departments,OfficesandCentersandtheiremployees,facultyandstaff.Itisintendedtoensurethatemployees,facultyandstaffaremadeawareofandproperlyt
7、rainedinthesafeuseofhazardouschemicalswithwhichtheymaycomeincontact.Thiswillbeaccomplishedbyprovidingappropriateemployeetraining,compilingchemicalinventories,maintainingandusingSafetyDataSheets(SDS)andensuringthatchemicalcontainersareproperlylabeled.ThePro
