3、oldsinruralChinaraisedanaverageof1.48pigs(NBSC,2000).Onepersonof8intheworldisaChinesefarmer.Anotherfrequentlyquotedstatisticisthatabout80percentofallChinesepigsareproducedinthebackyardsoffarmers’homes.Recentreportspreparedin2002byhogindustryassociationsinZhejiang,Shanghai,Beiji
