1、CollegeStudentsShouldBeAllowedtoGetMarriedInaccordancewithanewlyrevisedregulationforstudentrecordmanagementbyrelevantauthorities,Chinesecollegestudentsarenowallowedtogetmarriedwhilsttheyarestillatcollegeiftheychoosetodoso.However,manyinstitutionsofhigh
2、erlearningstillsticktotheirtraditionalrules—“NoMarriageonCampus”,whichreflectstheirlackofopen-mindedness.PersonallyIaminsupportofthenewregulationconcerningthelegalrightsofcollegestudents.The1980MarriageLawstipulatesthatnoorganizationorindividualisallow
3、edtointerfereinpeople’srighttomarry,andthecurrentmanagementprovision,whichprohibitscollegestudentsfromgettingmarried,isobviouslynotinlinewiththeMarriageLaw.Ofcourse,thenewregulationdoesnotencouragecollegestudentstogetmarriedduringtheircollegedays,butli
4、ftsa50-yearbanoncollegestudentsgettingmarried.Manystudentsandscholars,especiallylegalprofessionals,havehailedthenewrule,sayingthatitgivesbacktothestudentsarighttheyshouldhavepossessed.Ofcourse,themajorityofundergraduatesandpostgraduatesmaychoosenottoex
5、ercisethisright,believingthatdegreeweighsmorethanweddingring.Atpresent,thedebateoverthisissuegoesoninmanyuniversities.Iholdthatthisisagoodphenomenon,whichshowsthatoursocietyhasbecomemoretolerantandanincreasingnumberofpeoplehavecometorealizethatfundamen
