2、edresearch.Thistypeofresearchmeetsnotonlythetraditionalscientificresearchstandardsbutalsostandardsrelatingtoitsusefulnessineducationalpractice.Itisafirstattempttoconnecttheseparateworldsofscienceandpractice.Studyingreviewarticlesweabstractedcriteriaandstandard
3、sforconductingpractice-basedresearch.Thesecriteriawerepresentedtoadozen(assistant)professorsandaftersomereformulationsweconsultedavarietyofexpertsandanalysedfourcases.Themainconclusionofthisstudyisthatcriteriaforfeasibilityinpracticeandscienceshouldbeseenascom
4、petingvalueswiththeirownoptimalmixinparticularsituations.2.IntroductionResearchineducationhashadadisappointingimpactoneducationalpractice.Toimprovethequalityofeducation,itisveryimportantthatschoolsutilisetheresultsofeducationalresearch.Oftenthisproblemisseenin
5、termsofthegapbetweenpracticeandscience(ortheory)(Onderwijsraad,2006).Oneoftheunderlyingproblemsconcernstheseparateworlds,withdifferentrules,differentlanguagesanddifferentrequirementsintermsofwhatisgoodandusefulresearch(Walker,2006).Bothresearchandpracticeneedt
6、ochangeinordertoclosethegap.Fromtheresearcher'spointofviewthechallengeistocarryoutresearchfromwhichschoolsreallybenefit.Thereforeinallphasesofeducationalresearch,fromthechoiceoffocusandproblemanalysistotheimplementationoftheresults,moreattentionmustbepaidtothe
7、needsandabilitiesofteachersandschoolleaders.Thisstrategyshouldnot,however,leadtopoor-qualityresearchprocesses.Inpractice,thesetwoperspectivesoftenseemtohaveincompatiblevalues.Asaconsequencethereisanurgentneedforclearercriteriaforpractice-basedresearch.Theresea
