3、dhocWorkingGrouponLong-termCooperativeActionanddecisionx/CMP.5thatrequeststheAdhocWorkingGrouponFurtherCommitmentsofAnnexIPartiesundertheKyotoProtocoltocontinueitswork,HaveagreedonthisCopenhagenAccordwhichisoperationalimmediately.1.Weunderlinethatclimatechangeisoneofthegreatestcha

4、llengesofourtime.Weemphasiseourstrongpoliticalwilltourgentlycombatclimatechangeinaccordancewiththeprincipleofcommonbutdifferentiatedresponsibilitiesandrespectivecapabilities.ToachievetheultimateobjectiveoftheConventiontostabilizegreenhousegasconcentrationintheatmosphereatalevelthat

5、wouldpreventdangerousanthropogenicinterferencewiththeclimatesystem,weshall,recognizingthescientificviewthattheincreaseinglobaltemperatureshouldbebelow2degreesCelsius,onthebasisofequityandinthecontextofsustainabledevelopment,enhanceourlong-termcooperativeactiontocombatclimatechange.

6、Werecognizethecriticalimpactsofclimatechangeandthepotentialimpactsofresponsemeasuresoncountriesparticularlyvulnerabletoitsadverseeffectsandstresstheneedtoestablishacomprehensiveadaptationprogrammeincludinginternationalsupport.GE.09-71523FCCC/CP/2009/L.7Page22.Weagreethatdeepcutsin

7、globalemissionsarerequiredaccordingtoscience,andasdocumentedbytheIPCCFourthAssessmentReportwithaviewtoreduceglobalemissionssoastoholdtheincreaseinglobaltemperaturebelow2degreesCelsius,andtakeactiontomeetthisobjectiveconsistentwithscienceandonthebasisofequity.Weshouldcooperateinachi
