4、in1968,whichwasfollowedbyanumberofnovels,shortstories,criticalessaysandmorepoetry.Herworksinclude:TheThirdLifeofGrangeCopelang(1970)Meridian(1976)abiographyofLangstonHughes(1973)acollectionofshortstoriesinLoveandTrouble:StoriesofBlackWomen(1973)arecentnovelTheTempleofMyFamiliar(1989).Ali
5、ceWalkerisatherbestwhenportrayingpeoplelivingintheruralareas,wherethewriterwasbornandgrewup.Asablackwriter,Walkerisparticularlyinterestedinexaminingtherelationshipsamongtheblacksthemselves.NowsheisregardedasoneofthemostprominentwritersinAmericanliteratureandamostforcefulrepresentativeofw
6、omen’sliteratureandblackliterature.Theauthorwrotequiteanumberofnovels,amongthemwereTheColorPurplewhichwonthePulitzerPrizeofFiction(普利策小说奖)andTheAmericanBookAward(美国图书奖).In1985,theColorPurplewasmadeintoamoviewhichwongreatfame."EverydayUse"isawidelystudiedandmuch-anthologizedshortstorybyAl
