4、rwardtheviewofmetaphorandmetonymyasconceptualphenomena，whichareubiquitousineverydaylanguageandthoughtandhelptoorganizeourlanguage，thoughtandaction．Theyarea11groundedinpeople’Sdailyexperienceandareconceptualinnature．Theworldweliveinisfullofmetaphorstowhichpoetryiscloselyrela

5、ted．LiBaiisafamousromanticpoetintheTangDynastyandisunparalleledinlandscapepoems，frontierfortresspoems，farewellpoemsandSOon．Farewellpoemisanimportantpartofhisexcellentpoetry．Scholarshavestudiedhisfarewellpoemsforalongtime，butmostlyfromtheperspectiveofliterature，focusingparti

6、cularlyonrhetoricandimages．Onlyfewofthemhaveanalyzedhispoemsfromacognitiveperspective．Uptonow,thereareonlythreescholarswhohavedoneacognitivesemanticstudyonhispoems：MetonymyandCognitiveConstructioninLiBai'sPoems(XiongWumei：2006)；ConceptualMetaphorinLiBai'sPoems(LiuHaibo，Duan
