2、Pisbeginningtoappearinmanyorganizationsofdevelopingcountries.LittleresearchhasbeenconductedtocomparetheimplementationpracticesofERPindevelopedvsdevelopingcountries.OurresearchshowsthatERPtechnologyfacesadditionalchallengesindevelopingcountriesrelatedtoeconomic,cultural,andbasicinfrastructureissues.

4、arethathelpsamanufactureroraservicebusinessmanagetheimportantpartsofitsbusiness.EvolvingfromMRPsystems,ERPhasplayedasignificantroleinITforseveraldecades.SincethefirstsymbioticERPproductSAPcreatedin1972,ERPmarketrevenuesareexpectedtobeashighas$52billionbytheyear2002.WhilethereiswideacceptanceofERPin
5、developedcountriessuchastheUSA,Canada,theUK,andAustralia,developingcountrieslagfarbehind.Atpresent,NorthAmericaoccupies66percentoftheERPmarket,Europetakes22percent,whilethewholeofAsiaisonlyat9percent.However,duetoeconomicgrowth,developingcountriesinAsiaandLatinAmericaarebecomingmajortargetsofbigERP
