3、DflowandsedimentnumericalmodeloftheYangtzeEstuaryandtheHangzhouBay,thecharacteristicsofwaterandsedimentexchangeintheirjointwatersisstudiedthroughquantitativecalculationandanalysisofthecharacteristicsofwaterflowandsedimenttransportation.Theresultsshowthatthereisperiodicalwaterandsediment
4、exchangeinthisjointwaters,thatthenetwaterexchangeappearsmainlybetween0~6mdepth(theoreticaldatumplane,thesamebelow)offshoreandthemaximumisnearthedepthof2m,andthatthenetsedimentexchangemainlyappearsbetween0~5mdepthandthemaximumisnearthedepthof3m,indicatingthattherangeofwaterflowpassageisd
5、ifferentfromthatofsedimenttransportfromtheYangtzeEstuarytotheHangzhouBay.Combinedwiththeresultsofnumericalsimulation,thispaperalsoanalyzesthehydrodynamicalmechanisminfluencingwaterandsedimentexchangebetweentheYangtzeEstuaryandtheHangzhouBay,includingtidalfluctuation,tidalcurrentkinetic
6、energy,tideinducedresidualcurrentandthetraceofwaterparticles.Finally,thesedimenttransportationpassageontheNanhuitidalflatisdiscussed,andtheresultsshowthatsedimentistransportedintotheHangzhouBayfromthesouthsideofShipilei,whilesedimentisbroughtbacktotheSouthChanneloftheYangtzeEstuaryfro
