2、thewatershedsdrainingtothebaywasperformedbyReemZounattheUniversityofTexasatAustin.Zoun'sworkinvolvedapplyingtheArcHydroschematogeospatialdatadescribingthebayregioninordertosimulatepointandnonpointsourceloadsaccumulatinginthebay(Figure1.1).TheworkwasperformedintheA

3、rcMapenvironmentusingstandardArcGISfunctionalityandtheArcHydrotools.ThisworkbecamethesubjectofZoun'sMastersThesis.Forthecurrentresearchdescribedinthispaper,anArcGIS9.0modeliscreatedusingModelBuilderinArcToolboxtoperformthesamecalculationsasdescribedinZoun'sthesis.

4、Themodelassumesthataschematicnetworkrepresentingtheregionhasalreadybeencreated,andthattraveltimesandotherparametershavealreadybeencalculatedfortheschematiclinksandnodes.Themodelthenprocessesrainfall,landuse,andwatersheddatatocalculateloads,andthenpassesthoseloadst

5、hroughtheschematicnetworkuntilfinalloadshavebeencomputedforthe6baysintheregion.Thispaperdescribestheprocessingopsappliedtotheschematicnetworktocalculateloads.Thenthewaterqualitymodelisbrieflydescribed,followedbyacomparisonbetweenmodelresultsandtheresultscalculated
