4、tnotbeusedasabsoluteQCacceptancecriteriaforpurposesoflaboratoryaccreditation.1.0SCOPEANDAPPLICATION1.1TheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(USEPA)narcosismodelforbenthicorganismsinsedimentscontaminatedwithpolycyclicaromatichydrocarbons(PAHs)isbasedontheconcentrationsofdissolvedPAHsint

5、heinterstitialwaterorporewaterinsediment.Method8272coverstheseparationofporewaterfromPAH-impactedsedimentsamples,theremovalofcolloids,andthesubsequentmeasurementofdissolvedconcentrationsofthe10-parentPAHsandtwoalkylateddaughterPAHsintheporewatersamples.Thismethoddirectlydeterminesthe
