2、loyableskills,knowledge,andexperience.CommunityEngagementVolunteersdeliversocial-emotionallearningworkshopsinhighschools.Workshopscoverthefollowingtopics:SuicideAwareness,StressManagement,TeenRelationshipAbusePrevention(T.R.A.P.),CommunicationSkills(“HowtoListen,HowtoHelp”),EmploymentLa
3、w,andStress/SuicideforESLclasses(“StressSense”).Workshopsaredeliveredweekdaysbetween8AMand3PM.Volunteerpresenterscreateanemotionallysafeenvironment,facilitatequestionsandactivitiesandcreateawarenessofcommunityresources.CrisisLineVolunteersprovideemotionalsupport,referralinformation,andc
4、risisinterventiontoadiversepopulationofpeopleincrisis.Callersseeksupportwithawiderangeofissues.TheLineoperatesfrom8AM–midnightdaily.Inadditiontobeingacrisisline,theLineisalsoasupportservicecomplementingRichmondMentalHealthServicesasanaccesspointforpeoplewhoneedemergencymentalhealthservi
5、ces.OutreachandAdvocacyVolunteersworkone-to-onetohelpclientsgatherinformation,gainknowledgeanddeveloptheconfidenceandskillstoeffectivelyspeakandactforthemselvesandresolvetheircrises.Volunteersmayalsoaccompanyclientstoaccessexternalservices.TheOutreachandAdvocacyofficeoperatesfrom9AMto4P
6、M,MondayandFriday;9AMto8PM,Tuesday,WednesdayandThursday;andfrom10AMto2PMonSaturday.Nospecificexperienceisrequiredtotakepartinanyofouruniqueprograms.Weprovidecomprehensivetrainingtoprepareyouforthevolunteerrolethatyouchoose.Afteryouhavereadthroughtheinformationandhavemadeadecisiononwhich
