2、ewcollegesandUniversities,laboratoryexperimentsremainedlargelythesameasbeingtaughtfiftyyearsback.Manyoftheseexperimentsparticularlyinvolvingtoxicchemicalslikeliquidbromine,potassiumcyanide,benzene,carbontetrachloridearenotatallsafetohumanhealth.Thus,aneedforamonogra
3、phwithsafegreenlaboratoryexperimentsisfeltbytheacademiccommunity.TheGreenChemistryTaskForceCommitteeshoulderedtheresponsibilityofbringingoutthismonograph.Effortsaremadetodemonstrategreenexperimentforareactionalreadytaughtinthetheoryclass.Theclassicalprocedureforapar
4、ticularreactionwasmentionedinalltheexperimentshighlightingthehazardouscomponentinitandthenagreenerprocedureisdescribed.Inaparticularexperimentifthedescribedprocedureisnotcompletely(100%)green,itmaybeimprovedinthelaterphase.Duringpreparationofthismonographdiscussionm
