4、apparatus.Reliableoperationofcircuitbreakersisveryimportanttothewell-beingofthepowersystem.Historicallythisisachievedbyregularinspectionandmaintenanceofthecircuitbreakers.Anautomatedonlinecircuitbreakermonitoringsystemisproposedtomonitorcondition,operationandstatusofhig
5、handmediumvoltagecircuitbreakers.Bytrackingequipmentcondition,thissystemcouldbeusedtoperformmaintenanceonlywhenitisneeded.Thiscoulddecreaseoverallmaintenancecostandincreaseequipmentreliability.Usinghighaccuratetimesynchronization,thissystemshouldenabledevelopmentofsyste
6、m-wideapplicationsthatutilizethedatarecordedbythesystem.Thismakespossibletrackingsequenceofeventsandmakingconclusionsabouttheireffecton-line.Thissolutionalsoenablesreliabletopologyanalysis,whichcanbeusedtoimprovepowerflowanalysis,stateestimationandalarmprocessing.ivTomy
