4、rapplications.Bydefault,everyapplicationrunsinitsownLinuxprocess.Androidstartstheprocesswhenanyoftheapplication'scomponentsneedtobeexecuted,thenshutsdowntheprocesswhenit'snolongerneededorwhenthesystemmustrecovermemoryforotherapplications.Inthisway,theAndroidsystemimpl
5、ementsthe principleofleastprivilege.Thatis,eachapplication,bydefault,hasaccessonlytothecomponentsthatitrequirestodoitsworkandnomore.Thiscreatesaverysecureenvironmentinwhichanapplicationcannotaccesspartsofthesystemforwhichitisnotgivenpermission.However,therearewaysfora
6、napplicationtosharedatawithotherapplicationsandforanapplicationtoaccesssystemservices:It'spossibletoarrangefortwoapplicationstosharethesameLinuxuserID,inwhichcasetheyareabletoaccesseachother'sfiles.Toconservesystemresources,applicationswiththesameuserIDcanalsoarranget
7、oruninthesameLinuxprocessandsharethesameVM(theapplicationsmustalsobesignedwiththesamecertificate).Anapplicationcanrequestpermissiontoaccessdevicedatasuchastheuser'scontacts,SMSmessages,themountablestorage(SDcard),camera,Bluetooth,andmore.Allapplicationpermissionsmustb
