4、allowslavery.However,intheonethousandandeighthundredduringtheonethousandeighthundredandsixty,thewarofNorthandSouthernmoreandmoreintense.Therearethreemainreasonsinthiswar.ThereasonsareSlaveSystem,NorthandSoutheconomicinterestsofdifferences,thelastoneisNortha
5、ndSouthpoliticalconflict.AmericanslaveryexistedafterthefirstimmigrantsfromEuropefoundedtheirsettlements.InthesouthofAmerica,stateswerelargelycomprisedofplantationsthatgrewcropssuchascotton.TheNorth,ontheotherhand,wasmoreofamanufacturingcenter.Slaveryhadbeen
6、abolishedintheNorthbutcontinuedintheSouthbecausetheplantationsneedinexpensivelabor.Additionally,intheyearsbeforetheCivilWarthepoliticalpowerinthefederalgovernmentwaschanging.TheNorthernstateswerebecomingmoreandmorepowerfulasthepopulationsincreasedwhiletheSo
7、uthernstateslostpoliticalpower.TheSouthernstatesclaimedforthemselvestheConfederateStates,whiletheNorthernStatesfoughttomaintaintheUnion,calledtheUnionStates.Inthemiddleofthenineteenthcentury,theNorthernfreelaborsystemandSouthernslavesystemmoreandmoreirrecon
