4、equentlyabusedandoverworkedforthebenefitoftheplantationowner.Slavesremainedindemandduetotheincreasedproductivityintroducedbythecottongin.Duetothisincreaseddemand,thenumberofslavesdramaticallyincreased.Althoughthenumberofslavesinthesouthgreatlyoutnumberedthatofslaveowners,the5102032
