3、leveloftheTQMconceptingoverningtheirinformationsystemsfunction.Throughthetestsofreliabilityandvalidity,theproposedinstrumentwasverifiedasagoodmeasuringtool.ThefindingsshowthatdissatisfyingperformersofISFshouldpaymoreemphasisonthepracticesofuserfocus,IStopmanage

4、mentsupport,andISproduct/servicedesign.IntroductionEffectivedecisionmakingreliesonrelevantinformation.Informationsystemsfunction(ISF)providesreliableandcrucialinformationformanagementinatimelymannersothattheoutcomespermitanorganizationtoreachacompetitiveedgeove

5、rtheircompetitors.Therefore,searchingforaneffectivemethodtoensureahighqualityserviceofISFishighlyemphasizedinISliterature.ResearcheffortscontributingtoanimprovementoftheISFqualityservicesaremainlybasedonamixedformofthefollowingcriteria:.userinvolvement(TaitandV

6、essey,1998);.userfriendliness(Adamsetal.,1992);.easeofuse(Davis,1989);.topmanagementinvolvement(Doll,1985);and.systemperformance(SaundersandJones,1992).Recently,proposalsofanintegrativeapproachtomanageISFhaveescalatedintheliterature.Forexample,Braithwaite(1995)

7、discussedtheintegrationoftotalqualitymanagement(TQM)conceptintoISmanagement.Ward(1994b)convergedtheirdiscussionsonapplyingsomeformsofintegrativeprinciplesortoolsofTQM±suchasthestudyofcustomerorientation,continuousprocessimprovement,theuseofqualityfunctiondeploy
