4、usInternetaccess.TheinterconnectionbetweentheWMNandtheInternetisprovidedbygatewaysconnectedtoanaccessnetwork.Usually,largeWMNsconsistofmanygatewaysbelongingtodifferentaccessnetworks(seeFig.1).IfanodeoftheWMNcommunicateswithanodeintheInternet,theIPpacketsarerelayedthroughtheWMNtoagateway.Whenanodemov

5、es,thentheIPtrafficmaybehandledbyanothergatewayasaresult.Ifthesetwogatewaysbelongtothesameaccessnetwork,werefertothiskindofmobilityasmicromobility,whereasiftheybelongtodifferentaccessnetworks,werefertomacromobility.Dependingonthepositionofanode,itmaybethecasethatpacketsarehandledbymultiplegatewaysat

6、thesametime.Ifthesegatewaysbelongtomultipleaccessnetworksthenodeismultihomed[1].Forenablingmacromobilityandmultihoming,thereareseveralIPmobilitymanagementprotocolsandextensions.InthisreportwesupposethatMobileIP[2]isemployedtosupportmobility.Thisprotocolmaintainsafixedproxy(HomeAgent),ahostthatisawar
