2、lsonactionwheretheirrelevantoperatorsareconstructedusingsmearedlinks.WhiletheuseofsuchsmearingallowsfortheuseofhighlyimproveddefinitionsofthefieldstrengthtensorFµν,weshowthatthestandard1-loopclovertermwithameanfieldimprovedcoefficientcswissufficienttoremovetheO(a)errors,avoidingtheneedfornon-perturbativ
3、etuning.ThisresultenablesefficientdynamicalsimulationsinQCDwiththeFLICfermionactionPACSnumbers:11.15.Ha,12.38.GcI.INTRODUCTIONII.FLICFERMIONSTheFLICfermionaction[1]isavariantofthecloverThefat-linkirrelevantclover(FLIC)fermionaction[1]actionwheretheirrelevantoperatorsareconstructedus-isanefficient[2]W
4、ilson-stylenearest-neighbourlatticeingsmearedlinks[3,4],andmeanfieldimprovement[11]fermionactionwhichincorporatesboththethingauge-isperformed.Thekeypointisthatshort-distancephysicsfieldlinksoftheMarkovchainandfatlinks–linkscre-issuppressedintheirrelevantoperators.ThisallowsanatedviaAPE[3,4,5,6],HYP
5、[7]orstout-link[8]smear-effectivemean-fieldimprovedcalculationofthecloverco-ing.Throughtheuseoffatlinksintheirrelevantoper-efficient,requiredtomatchtheWilsonandclovertermsatorsoftheaction,oneachievessignificantimprovementsuchthatO(a)errorsareeliminated[10].Further,theinthechiralpropertiesoftheactionre
6、flectedinanar-improvedchiralpropertiesofFLICfermionactionallowrowingofthedistributionofthecriticalWilsonmass[9].efficientaccesstothelightquarkregime[9].Onealsoby-passesthefine-tuningproblemtypicallyen-TheFLICoperatorisgivenbycounteredinO(a)improvement,astheuseoffatlinksin1fl1flboththeirrelevantWilsonan
