2、edgeofthepresenceofother.Therefore,propergreetingbehavioriscrucialforthefoundationandmaintenanceofinterpersonalrelationships.However,sinceChinaistotallydifferentfromtheWesterncountriesbothinitshistoryanditsculture,itisundoubtedlythatgreeting,whichiscloselyrelatedtoitsculture,willbequitedifferentf

3、romthatintheWesterncountries.Misusingthegreetingmayeasilyleadtomisunderstandingintheinterculturalcommunication.Therefore,toacknowledgethedifferencesexistinginthegreetingisthefirststeptoachievemutualunderstandingandrespect.Thispaper,withsomerelatedtheoriespresented,aimsatmakingacontrastivestudyofg
