1、ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversityM.A.Thesisproducessignificantlylesscorrectanswers,withtheothertwoproceduresB(QSP)andC(AOP)fallingbetween.Questionnaireresponsessuggestthatsubjectsbelievethatquestionpreviewcansupplyextrainformationandthusfacilitatetheirlisteningcomprehension.Thesecondexperime

2、nt,animmediateretrospectionstudy,attemptstoprovidequalitativedatabyexaminingother12ChineseEFLlearners’listeningstrategiesandtacticsincompletingthelisteningtest.Itisfoundthattherearenosignificantdifferencesbetweenthefourtestproceduresintestvalidity.Thispaperconcludesthatthechoiceofdiffe

3、renttestproceduresleadstodifferencesintestdifficulty,butnotintestvalidity.Testtakerscanbenefitfrompreviewingquestionstemssincethepreviewedquestionstemsprovideextrausefulinformation;whereasmosttesttakerssufferfromtheabsenceofbothquestionstemsandansweroptionsbeforelistening.Theresearcher
