2、egeneration(AMD).METHODS:Ininvivostudies,coloredmicrospheretechniquewasusedtodeterminetheocularbloodflowinocularhypertensiverabbiteyes.Therateyesweretreatedwith5g/Lflavoneeyedrops3timesadayfor1weekbeforeand4weeksafterlaser-inducedinjuryofBruch¡¯smembrane.Thede

3、velopmentofCNVwasdeterminedbyfluoresceinangiography(FA)performedonweeks2and4.Ininvitrostudies,theeffectofflavoneontheviabilityofHUVECswasmeasuredbyMTTassay.¤rRESULTS:Theocularbloodflowinrabbiteyeswassignificantlyincreasedafterflavoneinstillation.Flavonesignifi

4、cantlyinhibitedtheformationoflaserinducedCNV.InvitroresultsshowedthatflavoneinhibitedtheproliferationofHUVECs.¤rCONCLUSION:FlavonecouldincreaseocularbloodflowandinhibittheformationofCNV.17¡¾¹Ø¼ü´Ê¡¿flavone;ageª²relatedmaculardegeneration;ocularbloodflow;choroi

5、dalneovascularization¡¡¡¡INTRODUCTION¡¡¡¡Ageª²relatedmaculardegeneration(AMD)istheleadingdiseaseofvisualimpairmentinwesterncountriesinpatientsover50yearsofage[1].TheprevalenceofAMDincreaseswithagesothatuptoonethirdofindividualsaged75andoldersufferedfromsomefor

6、mofAMD[2].GiventheenormousimpactofAMDontheagingpopulation,muchpublicinterestandresearchhasbeenfocusedonthisconditioninthepastdecade.¡¡¡¡AMDinitiallyoccursina"dry"formwithpathologicalchangesintheretinalpigmentepithelium(RPE)anddrusenformaª²tion,andcanprogressto

7、geographicatrophyand/or"wet"formofAMDwithchoroidalneovascularization(CNV)[3].ThebreakdownofBruch¬ðsmembraneunderthedetachedRPEservesasanentrancefornewandimmaturechoroidalvesselstogrowintothesubretinalspacethatleadstotheformationofCNV[4ª²6].CNVcanleakfluidaswel
