2、sinruralandurbanchildren.Methods:Thisstudywascarriedonaruralandanurbanschool.Environmentalendotoxinlevelwasmeasuredinmultiplesamplesoftheambientindoorairdustcollectedonspecialasepticfilterpapersfromthetwoschools.Fortwohundredchildrenhistorytaking,clinicalexamination,allergenskinpricktestandbas
3、icpulmonaryfunctiontestwerepreformed.Results:Environmentalendotoxinlevelsshowedsignificantlyhighermeanvalues(P<0.01)inruralschool(3EU/mg)ascomparedtotheurbanschool(0.1EU/mg)with(OR=5.163;95%CI:0.95ª²28).Historyofallergicsymptomswassignificantlymoreinurbanthanruralstudents(P=0.01).Meanvalues
4、ofpulmonaryfunctionparametersweresignificantlylowervaluesinurbanstudentscomparedtoruralstudents.Skinpricktestresultsshowedsignificant26reactionstoalltestedallergensinurbanchildrencomparedtoruralchildren(P<0.05).Conclusion:Thereisaninverseassociationbetweenenvironmentalexposuretoendotoxinsan
