5、lytrivial,andmicrocomputerscanbeusedtoimplementsuchprocesscontrolsystems.Itwouldnotbepossibletousemanyofthecurrentlyavailablemicrocomputersfortheimplementationofhighspeedadaptivecontrolsystemswhichrequiretheuseofsuitableprocessmodelsandconsiderableon-linemanipulationofdata.Microcompu

6、terbaseddataloggersareusedtocarryoutintermediatefunctionssuchasdataacquisitionatcomparativelylowspeeds,simplemathematicalmanipulationsofrawdataandsomeformsofdatareduction.Thefirstgenerationofdataloggers,withoutanyprogrammablecomputingfacilities,wereusedsimplyforslowspeeddataacquisiti
