1、SpecificModulesinProIIThisdocumentwillfocusonthreespecificpiecesofequipmentinProII:flashdrum,distillationcolumnandGibbsreactor.Becausetheflashdrumanddistillationcolumndonotrequirespecifyingareactiontheywillbecoveredfirst.FlashDrumTheinitialsetupisthesameascoveredin“Intro

2、ductiontoProII”soitwillbeassumedthatthePFDissetupwiththepropercomponentsandthermodynamicpackage.PlacetheflashunitinthePFDspace.Thenpressthe“Streams”buttonandconnectthefeedstreamtotheleftsideoftheflashdrumandproductstreamstothetopportandthesideport.(Note:whileit’snotcriti

3、caltonotconnectthebottomsstreamtothebottomport,thebottomportisnormallyreservedfordecantedwaterorsecondliquidproduct.)DefinetheinletstreamS1inthestandardfashiondescribedin“IntroductiontoProII.”Doubleclickingontheflashdrumwillopenthespecificationwindow(shownbelow).Heretheu

4、nitcanberenamedbytypingthedesirednameinthe“Unit:”field,currentlyF1.Theflashdrumwillrequiretwospecifications.Thefirstspecificationcanbeeither:pressuredrop,operatingpressureoroperatingtemperature.Thesecondspecificationcanbedefinedfromtheflashdrumas:temperature(ifpressureor

5、pressuredropisselectedasthefirstspecification),pressureorpressuredrop(iftemperatureisselectedasthefirstspecification),duty,dewpoint,bubblepoint,isentropicorupperdewpoint(iftemperatureisselectedasthefirstspecification).Alternatively,thesecondspecificationcanbedefinedfromt

6、heproduct.Todothisselectthe“ProductSpecification”radiobutton.TodefinewhatwillbethespecificationclickParameter.Thiswillopenthefollowingwindow.Theonlyoptionhereistohavetheparameterbeinoneoftheproductstreams.Choosethedesiredstreamfromthe“StreamName:”dropdownmenu.Oncethestre
