5、vinghighenergiesiscalledtheexcitedstate.Theatominthegroundstateabsorbsexternalenergiesandisputintheexcitedstate.Forexample,sodiumismainlyintwoexcitedstates,havinghigherenergiesby2.2eVand3.6eVrespectivelythaninthegroundstate,asshowninFig.1.1.(eVisaunittomeasu
