5、harboringcry2Agene)forthreegenerations(5hforeverygeneration)wereinvestigatedtounderstandtheresponseofC.medinalistoBtrice.Resultsshowedthatdevelopmentaldurationof3rd-5thinstarC.medinalisfedonBtriceleavesinthe1stgenerationwereprolongedandtheemergenceratesofC.medinalissharplydecreasedcomparedwithth
6、euntreatedC.medinalis.However,thesetwoindicesreturnedtotheleveloftheuntreatedC.medinaliswiththeincreasinggenerations.Themortalitiesofthe3rd-5thinstarC.medinalislarvaeandtheweightoffemalepupalowered,andtheweightofmalepupadidnotdifferfromthatofuntreatedC.medinalis.Furthermore,themortalityofthe3rd-
7、5thinstarC.medinalislarvaeandweightofmaleandfemalepupadidnotreturntoorremainthelevelsoftheuntreatedC.medinalisasthetreatedgenerationsincreased.Theseindicesforthetreated3rdgenerationC.medinaliswerelowerthanthoseofuntreatedC.m
