4、and,Denmark,IcelandandNorway,hadtheaimofimprovinglead-time,accuracyandmaterialutilisationoffatigueloadedcomplexweldedstructuressuchasconstructionmachinery,busses,forestmachines,robots,cranesandshipstructures.Theconsortiumalsoincludedthreesteelsuppliers,fourengineer
5、ingconsultingfirms,threeresearchorganisationsandfouruniversities.SomeoftheworkhasalsoregularlybeenpresentedanddiscussedwithinCommissionXIII(Fatigueofweldedcomponents)inInternationalInstituteofWelding(IIW)duringdifferentAnnualAssemblies.Theworkinthisthesishasmainlyb
