2、rtsorappliancesusedoncivilaircraftmustcomplywithwhenitispresentedforairworthinesscertification.IntegratedModularAvionicsHardwareElements1.Purpose.ThisChinaCivilAviationTechnicalStandardOrder(CTSO)prescribestheminimumperformancestandards(MPS)criteriathatanIntegratedModularAvionics(IMA)

3、hardwareelementmustmeettobeidentifiedwiththeapplicableCTSOmarkings.2.Applicability.a.ThisCTSOiseffectivefornewapplicationssubmittedaftertheeffectivedateofthisCTSO.ThestandardsofthisCTSOapplytothefollowinghardwareelements:(1)Hardwaremodules,and(2)Cabinetsorracksthathosthardwaremodules.

4、b.ThehardwareelementsmanufacturedtocomplywiththisCTSOmaybeusedtosupportfunctionalCTSOsorsystemsapprovedunderCCAR-21,23,25,27,29,33or35(forexample,abrakingsystem-1-CAACCTSO-C153approvedaspartofatypecertificate).FunctionalCTSOauthorizationsandaircraft-levelapprovalsarenotcoveredbythisCT

5、SO.c.Appendix3providesasummaryoftheterminologyapplicabletohardwareelements.d.MajordesignchangestoarticleapprovedunderthisCTSOwillrequireanewauthorizationinaccordancewithsection21.310ofCCAR-21R3.3.Requirements.HardwareelementsidentifiedandmanufacturedonoraftertheeffectivedateofthisCTSO

6、mustmeettheMPSforhardwareelements.Appendix1ofthisdocumentprovidesthecriteriafordevelopingtheseMPS.a.Functionality.ThisCTSOappliestoequipmentintendedtomeetMPSdevelopedtothecriteriaofAppendix1.ThisCTSOdoesnotspecifytheaircraftfunctionsthatthesystemisintendedtoperform.Itdoes,however,prov

7、ideenvironmentalqualificationtestingrequirementsforhardwarethatsupportsthegenericcapabilitytoreceive,process,andoutputdata.ElementsthattheauthoritiesauthorizeunderthisCTSOmayalsomeetthefunctionalrequirementsofotherCTSOswhenloadedwiththeappropriatesoftwareapplications.Thecombinationofh
