2、achment.thegeneralWelfare,andsecuretheBlessingsofLibertytoourselvesandourPosterity,doordainandestablishSection3.TheSenateoftheUnitedStatesshallbethisConstitutionfortheUnitedStatesofAmerica.composedoftwoSenatorsfromeachState,chosenbytheLegislaturethereof,forsixYears;andeachSenatorA
3、rticleIshallhaveoneVote.ImmediatelyaftertheyshallbeassembledinCon-Section1.AlllegislativePowershereingrantedshallsequenceofthefirstElection,theyshallbedividedbevestedinaCongressoftheUnitedStates,whichasequallyasmaybeintothreeClasses.TheSeatsofshallconsistofaSenateandHouseofReprese
4、ntatives.theSenatorsofthefirstClassshallbevacatedattheSection2.TheHouseofRepresentativesshallbecom-ExpirationofthesecondYear,ofthesecondClassatposedofMemberschoseneverysecondYearbythetheExpirationofthefourthYear,andthethirdClassPeopleoftheseveralstates,andtheElectorsineachattheExp
5、irationofthesixthYear,sothatonethirdStateshallhavetheQualificationsrequisiteforElectorsmaybechoseneverysecondYear;andifVacanciesofthemostnumerousBranchoftheStateLegislature.happenbyResignation,orotherwise,duringtheRe-NoPersonshallbeaRepresentativewhoshallnotcessoftheLegislatureofa
6、nyState,theExecutivehaveattainedtotheAgeoftwentyfiveYears,andbeenthereofmaymaketemporaryAppointmentsuntilthesevenYearsaCitizenoftheUnitedStates,andwhonextmeetingoftheLegislature,whichshallthenfillshallnot,whenelected,beanInhabitantofthatStatesuchVacancies.inwhichheshallbechosen.No
