3、ly,IEEEStandardC57.12.00-2000requiresthatthehottestspottemperatureanditslocationbedeterminedbyeithermeasurementorcalculationmethod.Thedeterminationofthehottestspotlocationandtemperaturebymeasurementisadauntingtaskforworkingtransformersbecauseoftheexpense,effortanddifficultyinvolved.Fromthegeo

4、metricalconstructions,transformerwindingscanbeclassifiedintotwobasicforms,layeranddisktype.Thedisk-typewindingwithzigzagcoolingductarrangementismorepopularinpractice,butadifficultyarisesinhydraulicandthermalpredictivecalculationsduetocomplexoilfluidflowpathsinit.Thepresentstudyisfocusedonthep

5、redictionofthehottestspottemperatureinthistypeoftransformerwindings.Inoiltransformer,thecoolingoilisinpracticeheatedinwindingdisksandcooledinradiators,andaveragewindingtemperatureismainlydeterminedwithoilcirculationconditionandtemperaturelevel.Inforcedoil-cooledtransformer,theoilcirculationco

6、nditionandhencecoolingcapacityismainlyaffected(suchasOF,theoilispumpedthroughthetransformer,withnaturaloilcirculationinthewindings),anddetermined(suchasOD,theoilispumpedandforcedthroughthewindings),byoilpumpinthecirculationloop,butinappropriateflowdistributionacrossthehorizontalductsmaycausea
