3、acturersandusersectors.Accordingly,IEEEStandardC57.12.00-2000requiresthatthehottestspottemperatureanditslocationbedeterminedbyeithermeasurementorcalculationmethod.Thedeterminationofthehottestspotlocationandtemperaturebymeasurementisadauntingtaskforworkingtransformersbecauseoft

4、heexpense,effortanddifficultyinvolved.Fromthegeometricalconstructions,transformerwindingscanbeclassifiedintotwobasicforms,layeranddisktype.Thedisk-typewindingwithzigzagcoolingductarrangementismorepopularinpractice,butadifficultyarisesinhydraulicandthermalpredictivecalculations

5、duetocomplexoilfluidflowpathsinit.Thepresentstudyisfocusedonthepredictionofthehottestspottemperatureinthistypeoftransformerwindings.Inoiltransformer,thecoolingoilisinpracticeheatedinwindingdisksandcooledinradiators,andaveragewindingtemperatureismainlydeterminedwithoilcirculati

6、onconditionandtemperaturelevel.Inforcedoil-cooledtransformer,theoilcirculationconditionandhencecoolingcapacityismainlyaffected(suchasOF,theoilispumpedthroughthetransformer,withnaturaloilcirculationinthewindings),anddetermined(suchasOD,theoilispumpedandforcedthroughthewindings)
