5、eceivedmanyinternationalandnationalmedals.XiaoFamilyisworthyoftitle“weightliftinghome”intheChinesesportscircle. 肖建刚说：“我们家以前在农村，爷爷是当小就有名气的木匠，作为大哥的父亲曾是一名炮兵，一家人练举重就是从举炮弹开始的。二叔肖明祥经常和父亲叫劲，看谁举得更重。有一天，二叔在报纸上看到陈镜开打破世界纪录的报道后说：‘他能打破世界纪录，我也行。’”之后，肖明祥来到当时的广西举重班毛遂自荐，很快成为广西举重队主力，之后进入了国家队，从1965到19
