3、ve.Onarearwheeldrivecar,thetransmissionisusuallymountedtothebackoftheengineandislocatedunderthehumpinthecenterofthefloorboardalongsidethegaspedalposition.Adriveshaftconnectsthetransmissiontothefinaldrivewhichislocatedintherearaxleandisusedtosendpowertotherearwheels.Power

4、flowonthissystemissimpleandstraightforwardgoingfromtheengine,throughthetorqueconverter,thentroughthetransmissionanddriveshaftuntilitreachesthefinaldrivewhereitissplitandsenttothetworeartransmission.Onafrontwheeldrivecar,thetransmissionisusuallycombinedwiththefinaldriveto

5、formwhatiscalledatransaxle.Theengineonafrontwheeldrivecarisusuallymountedsidewaysinthecarwiththetransaxletuckedunderitonthesideoftheenginefacingtherearofthecar.Frontaxlesareconnecteddirectlytothetransaxleandprovidepowertofrontwheels.Inthisexample,powerfloesfromtheengine,
