3、–Icharacteristicsandbyutilizinganewsimplifiedharmonicsourcemodel,anewprincipleforharmonicsourceidentificationandharmoniccurrentseparationisproposed.Byusingthismethod,notonlytheexistenceofharmonicsourcecanbedetermined,butalsothecontributionsoftheharmonicsourceandthelinearloadstoharmoni

5、;Leastsquaresapproximation1.IntroductionHarmonicdistortionhasexperiencedacontinuousincreaseindistributionsystemsowingtothegrowinguseofnonlinearloads.Manystudieshaveshownthatharmonicsmaycauseseriouseffectsonpowersystems,communicationsystems,andvariousapparatus[1–3].Harmonicvoltagesatea
6、chpointonadistributionnetworkarenotonlydeterminedbytheharmoniccurrentsproducedbyharmonicsources(nonlinearloads),butalsorelatedtoalllinearloads(harmoniccurrentsinks)aswellasthestructureandparametersofthenetwork.Toeffectivelyevaluateanddiminishtheharmonicdistortioninpowersystems,theloca
