3、torsineachstateshallhavethequalificationsrequisiteforlectorsofthemostnumerousbranchofthestatelegislature.Nopersonshallbearepretativewhoshallnothaveattainedtotheageoftwentyfiveyearsold,andbeensevenyearsacitizenofUnitedState,andwhoshallnot,whenelected,beaninhabitantofthatstateinwhichhesha
4、llbechosen.AsfortheSenator,thesenateoftheUnitedStatesshallbecomposedoftwoSenatorsfromeachstate,chosenbylegislaturethereof,forsixyears,andeachSenatorshallhaveonevote.Similarly,nopersonshallbeasenatorwhoshallnothaveattainedtotheageofthirtyyears,andbeennineyearsacitizenoftheUnitedStatesand
5、shallnot,whenelected,beaninhabitantofthatstateforwhichheshallbechosen.Representativsanddirecttaxesshallbepportionedamongtheseveralstateswhichmaybeincludedwithinthisunion,accordingtotheirmubers,whichshallbedeterminedbyaddingtothewholenumberoffreepersons,includingthoseboundtoserviceforate
6、rmofyeas,andexcludingIndiansnottaxed,threeyearsafterfifthsofallotherpersons.Thenumberofrepresentativesshallnotexceedoneforeverythirtythousand,buteachstateofNewHanpshireshallbeentitledtochoosethree,Massachusettseight,RhodeIslandandProvidencePlantationsone,Connecticutfive,NewYorksix,NewJe
