3、entedpossibilitiesincreatingnewsystemsforinformationprocessing,includingsolvingclassicallyintractableproblems,associativememorywithexponentialcapacityandpossiblyovercomingthelimitationsposedbytheChurch-Turingthesis.Keywords.Quantumneuralnetworks,associativeme

4、mory,entanglement,manyuniversesinterpretationWhyquantumneuralnetworks?Therearetwomainreasonstodiscussquantumneuralnetworks.Onehasitsorigininargumentsfortheessentialrolewhichquantumprocessesplayinthelivingbrain.Forexample,RogerPenrosehasarguedthatanewphysicsbi

5、ndingquantumphenomenawithgeneralrelativitycanexplainsuchmentalabilitiesasunderstanding,awarenessandconsciousness[2].However,thisapproachadvocatesthestudyofintracellularstructures,suchasmicrotubulesratherthanthatofthenetworksofneuronsthemselves[3].Asecondmotiv

6、ationisthepossibilitythatthefieldofclassicalartificialneuralnetworkscanbegeneralizedtothequantumdomainbyeclecticcombinationofthatfieldwiththepromisingnewfieldofquantumcomputing[4].Bothconsiderationssuggestnewunderstandingofmindandbrainfunctionaswellasnewunpre
