4、lativelyslimbooks.Upto1847,aseriesofhissatiricalsketcheswerecollectedinTheBookofSnobs.ButitwasnotuntilthepublicationofVanityFairthattheworldrecognizedtheappearanceofanewnovelistofthefirstrank.VanityFaircameoutin1847-48,whichestablishedhisreputationasanove
